Carlos Ibanez studied biology at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he obtained his PhD. After moving to Stockholm, Sweden, he became Professor in Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institute, where he runs a research lab. More recently, he open a second laboratory at the National University of Singapore, where he is Professor at the Department of Physiology. Carlos Ibanez currently lives in Singapore and Stockholm. When not thinking about science, he is listening to jazz, playing guitar, taking photographs or working on some new dish in the kitchen. This weblog was born out of the realization that these interests are not separated but rather form a continuum, intersecting and blending with each other.
